Hey Guys I'm Julian, creative director at Massive Monster. I'm new to the whisky game being recruited to the cult from the other directors at Massive Monster. I've always loved Japanese culture and when I tried whisky's over there it changed my perceptions and got me interested in them. However most whisky just tastes like poison to me, let's see if we can change that!

Hakushu Single Malt Whisky - Review

  • Varietal - Japanese Whisky

  • Price - $129.99 AUD

  • Proof - 43% ABV

  • Country - Japan

  • Brand Name - Hakushu

  • Whisky Style - Single Malt

Tasting Notes

Nose: Definitely something sweet going on in there, maybe lime but it could be because the bottle is green haha. Reminds me of a grassy field of poison.

Palate: mmm tasty burn flavor, but not as burny as some of the other ones I've had. Has some citrus hints to it that keep me interested.

Finish: Has a smokey finish, but a clean smoke. Like a cripsy apple if it was smoke.

Overall: Yummo/10 it's a simple whisky but very clean with added complexity. Bit of a struggle to enjoy by it's self but in a highball goes down a treat.

Rating: 7/10 - Bit boring for the price imo, But all round good times. Okay that's me thanks bye.
